Naomi Nix is a freelance journalist, who often writes about education, race, business and mental health.
Previously, she covered race and income inequity as a senior reporter for The 74, a national education news outlet. Naomi was also the Newark politics and education for The Star-Ledger, the largest newspaper in New Jersey. In that role, Naomi led the newspaper’s coverage of the city’s first mayoral election after Sen. Cory Booker took office in Washington D.C.
Her work has also appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Atlantic. Naomi graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a certificate in African American studies.
